A complete 62-page student workbook for the Personal Exercise Programme. Students learn how to analyse their fitness and performance data, plan and monitor a six to eight week programme, then evaluate what changed and why.
No email or sign-up. A4, designed to be printed and written in by hand.
Every skill page follows the same four steps: Learn it (what you need to know), See it (a short example about a made-up performer), Try it (practise on a made-up performer) and Your turn (apply it to your own performance, in notes, ticks and numbers only). Support fades as students move through the four parts.
JCQ instructions say centres must not provide model answers or writing frames specific to the task, and Pearson's NEA guidance adds that templates are not permitted and candidates design their own structure. The workbook is designed for the teaching and preparation phase. It never contains a structure, paragraph or sentence students could hand in.
Exam Vista's advice: use the workbook for teaching and preparation, not during the assessed write-up. Once assessed work begins, give general advice only, and follow the current Pearson Edexcel and JCQ requirements and your centre's policy.
The requirements were checked against the Pearson Edexcel GCSE PE specification, the PEP marking grid (first used in 2023), Pearson's GCSE PE NEA guidance for 2026 and the JCQ instructions, in October 2026. Always check the current specification and your school's instructions.

A 26-page companion for teaching the PEP with the student workbook: a delivery sequence, marking maps for planning (Strands 1–2) and evaluation (Strands 3–5), section guides with questioning prompts, a cross-activity fragment bank, feedback phrases and admin checks.
The Teacher Companion is a teacher version and is not for student distribution, so it is not available as a public download. Teachers can request a free copy through the contact page, writing from a school email address.
Exam Vista has a free step-by-step coursework workbook for each of the main GCSE PE specifications.
