Three source-based scenario questions on theft, robbery and fraud, in the style of Cambridge International AS & A Level Law (9084) Paper 2 Section A. Each scenario is a full 30-mark question with model answers and marking guidance.
No email or sign-up. 26 A4 pages, ready to print and photocopy for your own school.
Section A gives students the law. The marks are for using it. Only 2 of every 10 marks reward identifying the law (AO1); 8 reward applying it to the facts (AO2).
Each scenario has a source (statutory extracts and short case summaries), a story about three people and three 10-mark parts. In every scenario one person is clearly liable, one could go either way, and for one a key element is probably missing. Spotting the difference is the skill the exam rewards.
Theft Act 1968 ss1–6: appropriation, property, belonging to another, dishonesty and intention to permanently deprive.
Theft Act 1968 s8: theft plus force or the threat of force, immediately before or at the time of stealing.
Fraud Act 2006 s2 (false representation) and s11 (obtaining services dishonestly).
Law as it applies in England and Wales, October 2026.
